Short Monologue on Dialogue
To me, when you consider a moment by moment walk w/Jesus, and attempting to communicate that reality to someone else, we (at least I) can sometimes get so intense in an effort to see them truly ‘get the picture’ that we find ourselvesf presenting a set of dos, don’ts or steps to help them ‘get it right’. They can feel guilty or inferior because they aren’t as committed or devoted as we seem to be or just be intimidated because they don’t do what we do.I believe living in friendship with God (Father, Son and Spirit) involves a continuing mindset of knowing first that God passionately loves (even adores) me and that I have complete forgiveness (past, present and future) which includes the obliteration of all that was my Adamic nature ('dead' Paul says on several occasions), and that I stand free and totally acceptable in Christ. Next, I then know the eternal magnificence of ‘no condemnation’ and that a life of ever expanding dialogue is perfectly natural and proper for God and I. All of this is a gift, given to me in Christ and I don’t have to seek or follow hard after it. He has joined His life to mine. I just believe it and rest in it. I think this is what freedom is all about. God frees me for the purpose of allowing me the choice of turning around and embracing Him in a relationship of love and adoration throughout eternity. Hypocrisy is pretending to be something you are not… so, in fact, to deny or live as if all of the stuff I just mentioned is not true, is me being a hypocrite.
